I WANT TO LIVE IN A WORLD WHERE THERE ARE NO OCTOBERS
Sorry not sorry Anne of Green Gables, I am a summer baby and I will die a summer baby. I need sun, blue skies and hammock reading.
The days in Ohio are turning a little colder. Rain falls a little more frequently and I am turning towards hibernation mode. It doesn’t help that the news this week has been a bit of a poop show.
I read to escape. And this week I had a good escape week. I wrote a post about A Rogue of One’s own which you can find here. And look for my post on Never Say No next week.
Never Let Me Go was a bit of a miss. I did a review on Goodreads which I have posted below.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Yvonne has one goal, to make money fast so she can finally open her dream daycare center. Maxwell is a man used to getting what he wants, but when his infant daughter comes to live with him full-time he has to figure out how he can balance work and fatherhood.
Yvonne is sent from a nanny agency to care for Sasha, Maxwell’s daughter. The money is enough that Yvonne won’t have to work for anyone else when the gig is over. Sasha becomes more than just a charge and Maxwell makes his way into her heart.
Will Yvonne put her dreams on the back shelf again for a man? Will Maxwell realize the world doesn’t revolve around him?
This was a decent romance. There wasn’t huge character development on either side. The conflict was minimal and the writing was good. The pacing was off which made the ending drag a little, but all in all it was a fine way to spend an afternoon.

That’s the danger in working in a library. My eyes are bigger than the amount of reading hours in a day.
